During my recent travels, I had the opportunity to stay at By The River 1 in Porto. Although my stay was for transit purposes only, I found two notable positives about this hotel. its close proximity to Francisco Sa Carneiro airport, which is just 20 km away, made it extremely convenient for my onward journey. the hotel's database provided detailed information about nearby attractions, allowing me to plan a short visit to explore some of Porto's highlights.
According to the database, some previous guests mentioned the need for a thorough clean in the apartment.

We recently stayed at a fantastic apartment in the heart of Ribeira. The hosts were extremely accommodating, even when we were running late due to traffic. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations, with spacious rooms, excellent quality towels and bed linen, and stunning views over the river. The location was perfect, allowing us to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the neighborhood while still being able to retreat to our balcony when our little ones were napping. We felt like locals living amidst all the hustle and riverside buzz!

Walkable to shops, restaurants, and bars. Nice river views. Close to São Bento Station.

the location was absolutely fantastic, so close to the river. the apartment exceeded our expectations, it felt really homey. Joao, our host, was excellent and gave us lots of helpful local information. the apartment was clean, convenient, and well-equipped. We loved the little balconies and appreciated the extra touches like bedside tables and lamps.
We were really impressed and will definitely stay again.

Superb location, spacious apartment, amazing host! Mind-blowing views, jaw-droppingly clean and well-equipped. Wi-fi, electric kettle, cookware, cots available. No pets, no smoking. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic hosts, sublime river views, spacious apartment with excellent quality towels and bed linen. Joao provided helpful local information and made us feel very welcome. Brilliant location to explore the old town and a gentle walk to villa Nova De Gaia for port houses and eateries. Impressive stay, will definitely return.

Great car service with Jose Viera, who gave us helpful tips about Porto. Friendly host Daniela provided maps and restaurant recommendations. Charming, well-furnished apartment with high ceilings and tall windows. Excellent shower and fully functional kitchen. Superb location near the river, perfect for exploring the old town and port wine cellars.
Felt right at home here, no complaints whatsoever.
